About The Position
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support Transportation projects located within the Greenville, SC area. The Senior technical resource may serve as a technical advisor for the team, providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. The role involves developing study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost-effective work by others, participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables, and developing construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. The engineer will use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package, perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings, prepare technical specification sections, and provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Additionally, the engineer will lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians in complex civil engineering projects, collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables, conduct site visits and field investigations to assess project feasibility and environmental impact, develop and implement innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all project phases, and represent the company in client meetings and professional conferences to present technical findings and project updates.
