About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Richmond, Virginia (VA) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Transit team! This is not a remote position.

Requirements

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• 4+ years of transit-focused engineering experience.
• Transit corridor design experience, focused on BRT and LRT modes.
• Track/guideway design experience.
• Roadway design experience.
• Station design experience, including park-and-ride facilities.
• High level of proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
• Ability to balance priorities among multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the production and delivery of transit design projects with a particular focus on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) projects.
• Assist in corridor concept development.
• Support public outreach efforts.
• Conduct transit evaluations.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary tasks.
