About The Position

Immediate Opening for an entry-level Structural/Civil Engineer- Project Associate in our West Palm Beach, FL location. The Falcon Group is looking for a motivated individual to join our team and assist with various engineering projects. This role involves coordinating project meetings, conducting on-site inspections, and maintaining communication with clients and contractors. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of construction plans and specifications, and will be eager to learn and grow within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an architectural and engineering consulting firm or construction-related field.
  • Engineering Intern (EI) Certification (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
  • OSHA 10 hour certified preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an unrestricted valid Driver's License.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred, or equivalent design software.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Florida Building Code, ACI, ASTM, etc.
  • Ability to work in the field and travel outside local areas as workload and projects require.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating and managing internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects.
  • Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, documenting existing conditions and potential deficiencies.
  • Observe and track work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Record accurate field measurements and perform calculations throughout the project.
  • Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors.
  • Maintain organized records, files, drawings, and other essential project data.
  • Engage in networking activities and represent the company at events.
  • Assist in reviewing and evaluating change orders.
  • Participate in client meetings and take meeting minutes.
