Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
0 to 2 years of experience as a civil engineer, preferably with experience in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems
Related internship experience for entry-level candidates is required
Proficiency AutoCAD and Civil3D
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Availability and willingness to travel
Due to client parameters, selected candidate must show (post offer) proof of U.S. citizenship and clear results of a thorough background check that may include but is not limited to credit and criminal history
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Nice To Haves

Engineer in Training certification preferred
MicroStation and experience in stormwater modeling using WaterCAD or SWMM software is desired

Responsibilities

Assist and support designs and construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models
Assist the preparation of engineering designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data
Create feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data
Prepare design documents and reports for civil site development (site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems)
Perform calculations, prepare cost estimates, drawings, technical specifications, and write reports
Assist in the production of engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules
Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection
