Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering Required.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Colorado professional engineering license required (or PE in another state with the ability to obtain CO PE within 6 months).
  • Knowledge of AASHTO Greenbook, CDOT, and City/County standards.
  • Experience with grading and drainage (using Civil3D), hydrology and hydraulics, and street design.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, word processing, and spreadsheet management programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projects including roadway, street, bikeway, erosion control, grading, storm drainage, water distribution, water quality, and sanitary sewer collection systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to self-direct and self-check plan sets and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Land Development/Site Design projects including civil engineering analysis, design, and project management.
  • Design civil engineering infrastructure including grading, hydraulic design, erosion control, storm drainage, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems.
  • Collaborate with clients, project design teams, and technical support staff to design projects.
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and appropriate documentation on reports and design projects.
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide construction support services including field meetings, submittal review, and responding to RFIs.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and fee estimates.
  • Monitor project financial reports and review monthly invoicing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
