Ackerman Estvold Engineering and Consulting is on the lookout for a skilled Municipal/Land Development Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join our Garden City, ID office. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, design, and management of high-quality municipal infrastructure projects, focusing on urban and rural roadways, private land development, water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer utilities, as well as site development. Collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and community leaders, you will not only ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget but also contribute to the growth and expansion of our municipal and land development services in the Boise, ID area. You will prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering plans while providing leadership and mentoring to junior staff and maintaining a high-performance, collaborative work environment. With your expertise, you'll represent the company professionally at various municipal meetings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification in Idaho, or the ability to obtain it within six months
  • Minimum of five years of relevant municipal or land development civil engineering experience
  • Proven project management skills
  • Solid understanding of local municipal processes and infrastructure needs
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-relations skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office Suite
