About The Position

As a Staff Consultant for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Pittsburgh, PA office, you will work with project teams to create permitting and construction plans, earth disturbance permit applications, and municipal zoning and land development applications for our commercial, industrial, energy, institutional, and residential clients. From solar farms to a major university expansions and steel mills to natural gas facilities, you’ll take part in designing site layouts and grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, storm water management facilities, and site utilities. You will work with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to execute projects, and you will have the opportunity to interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials. You will be a part of the project team that impacts the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction, all the way to the grand opening. Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. a plus)
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship prefered
  • E.I.T. certification preferred
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or Storm Sewers a plus
