About The Position

AECOM's Water Business Line is actively seeking a Civil Engineer IV. The successful candidate will work with Project Managers and other technical disciplines on all project phases to deliver a variety of water, wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer in municipal water/wastewater and stormwater infrastructure engineering design projects.
  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or have the ability to obtain a Florida PE license within 1 year of hire.
  • Valid US Driver's License, and pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.

  • Experience in construction phase services.

  • Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services focused on design of municipal water/wastewater, stormwater, and resiliency projects.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team.
  • Communicate project tasks between offices, requiring high levels of coordination and communication skills.
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
  • Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Prepare technical specification sections.
  • Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Oversee construction phase engineering services.
  • Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public to accomplish assigned objectives.
