About The Position
Halff Associates, Inc. is actively seeking a Civil Engineer Intern for our SUE/Utility Coordination team in our Austin, TX office. This internship is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field. The intern will gain hands-on experience in subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination, working alongside experienced professionals in the field. The role will involve assisting with various projects, contributing to the planning and execution of utility coordination tasks, and learning about the integration of utility data into civil engineering projects. The intern will also have the opportunity to develop their communication skills, as effective communication is crucial in coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and utility companies. Interns at Halff are paid hourly, and a normal work week is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. There may be occasions where overtime is required to meet project deadlines, providing interns with the chance to engage more deeply with ongoing projects and gain additional experience.
