Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Successful passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE).
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Desire to learn about land development and advance their career.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction documents including grading and drainage, utility, and roadway plans.
• Perform stormwater calculations and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and assist in designing site retention, storm drainage systems, and conveyance channels.
• Research local codes and prepare technical drainage reports.
• Assist in the design of public and private water and sewer systems including layouts and prepare sewer capacity analysis and WaterCAD models.
• Research state and local codes and prepare technical basis of design reports.
• Maintain quality control checklists to ensure plans and reports adhere to RICK CAD Standards and Quality Control Manuals.
• Work towards Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure by gaining qualifying experience.
• Take advantage of training opportunities and mentorship from senior engineers and company leadership.
