About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer III in Orlando, FL. Job Details: Responsible for the design and planning of transportation related projects, including highway and roadway projects. Work within the highway group on the planning and design of civil engineering projects, including local roadways, highways, interstates, freight and transit, drainage improvements, and utility relocation and protection. Prepare reports, construction plans, and technical specifications. Produce construction drawings for transportation projects. Collaborate with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians, and planners. Perform roadway geometry and stormwater management calculations associated with transportation infrastructure improvement projects. Support senior engineers in the development of environmental resource permit applications and permit research. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of a senior engineer. Collect and analyze data. Check, back-check, correct, or verify engineering plans and designs as a part of the quality assurance process as assigned by a supervising engineer. Assist in the processing and review of shop drawings, including marking up drawings based on DOT's index or comments made by engineers. Perform engineering design and analysis tasks in according with an agreed upon budget and schedule. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week. Full-time.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
