Requirements

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• For Civil Engineer I: Must obtain an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration within two years of employment.
• For Civil Engineer II: Must possess an NCEE Engineer Intern Registration.
• For Civil Engineer III: Must possess registration as a licensed professional engineer (PE) at the time of application and attain registration in Florida within one year of employment.
• At the department director's discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in public works or underground utilities projects.
• Supervisory experience in engineering or technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering work in the office and field.
• Assist in the design and construction of technical and engineering projects.
• Conduct investigations and maintenance of public works or underground utilities projects.
• Supervise subordinate engineers and technicians (for Civil Engineer II and III).
• Exercise independent judgment in planning, design, and construction practices.
