About The Position

Performs a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks. Attends meetings for preliminary plan discussion. Reviews and recommend approval of plans submitted with subdivision applications for underground utility installation, construction by other governmental units, and plans for all work conducted. Reviews associated drainage. Coordinates pre-construction meeting. Attends numerous meetings with other Road Commission departments and various outside governmental and private agencies relative to permit activities. Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position. Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan driver's license.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid Driver's license.
