About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer, EIT to join our Irvine office. The successful candidate will support a variety of federal, municipal, commercial, and private development projects. These include design of stormwater systems, grading, multiuse paths, complete/green streets, and active transportation infrastructure, as well as support of water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, retaining walls, bridges, and related structures. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a collaborative team environment, contribute to meaningful infrastructure work, and gain mentorship from experienced engineers and project managers. Occasional support for survey and mapping tasks may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required
  • 0-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • EIT certification required; ability to obtain California PE license within 2 years
  • California PE license preferred
  • Experience with municipal, commercial, or residential infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with grading, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, and street design
  • Exposure to Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and water quality systems a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D (formal training preferred); MicroStation InRoads experience a plus
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and technical writing
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for infrastructure and facilities design

Nice To Haves

  • California PE license preferred
  • Exposure to Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and water quality systems a plus
  • MicroStation InRoads experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in civil infrastructure design including grading and drainage using AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Stormwater management and erosion control
  • Water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems
  • Hydraulic modeling and permitting support
  • Complete streets, bikeways, and pedestrian pathways
  • Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses
  • Support preparation of engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and documentation requirements
  • Evaluate design alternatives and assist in resolving technical issues
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support permitting processes
  • Participate in field and office survey/mapping tasks as needed
  • Execute work safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
