Requirements

Proficiency in land development, civil engineering, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, EIT certification, and civil design.
Strong capabilities in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site planning.
Effective project management skills.
BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
0 - 2 years of experience in civil engineering.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads Designer.
Knowledge of NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards, and specifications is a plus.
Prior internships with civil engineering firms are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze project data to inform design decisions.
Lead or assist in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents.
Calculate quantities and develop cost estimates for projects.
Produce comprehensive plan sets and work with other design disciplines.
Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
