About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in site development and civil design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other site design software.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and local/state permitting requirements.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and visualization skills-both hand and digital.
  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and contribute to a collaborative design process.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze civil engineering components including grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, and site layout.
  • Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and construction documentation.
  • Develop detailed drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure design accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage small projects or key components of larger efforts.
  • Mentor and review work from Designers, EITs, and CAD Technicians.
  • Perform construction observation, site visits, field reports, and respond to contractor RFIs.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks under the guidance of a Project Manager and Studio Leader.
