Job Description We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to serve in a Development Manager–style role, overseeing design-build project teams from concept through construction. This position bridges engineering, development, and construction—ideal for a civil engineer who enjoys leadership, coordination, and big-picture project delivery. You’ll act as the technical and managerial point person, ensuring projects are designed efficiently, permitted correctly, and constructed in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
5+ years of experience in civil engineering, land development, or design-build construction
Strong understanding of site development, infrastructure, and permitting processes
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Experience working with developers, contractors, and public agencies

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

Lead and manage design-build project teams, including civil engineers, architects, consultants, and contractors
Oversee site development design (grading, drainage, utilities, roadway, and infrastructure)
Coordinate project planning from entitlement and permitting through construction completion
Serve as owner’s representative and internal development lead on assigned projects
Review and guide design documents to ensure constructability, cost efficiency, and code compliance
Manage schedules, budgets, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers
Support value engineering efforts and resolve design or construction challenges
Ensure alignment between design intent and field execution
