Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant civil engineering experience, including working on data center facilities and land development
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and related civil design tools
  • Strong understanding of hydrology, grading, site development, stormwater management, and utility systems
  • Experience coordinating with local jurisdictions, permitting agencies, and utility providers
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support civil engineering design for data center developments, including site development and site layout, site master planning and site selection, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure
  • Prepare construction documents, engineering reports, technical specifications, and civil site plan sets
  • Analyze and design gravitational wastewater systems
  • Prepare erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and support during permitting approval process
  • Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including structural, electrical, geotechnical, and surveying
  • Review contractor submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform occasional site visits to verify progress
  • Ensure design compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Support cost estimating, scheduling, and project planning activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and maintain quality assurance across project deliverables
