We are seeking a dynamic Travel Construction Manager (Civil Engineer) to support the National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV). In this role, you will support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Eastern Service Area (ESA) by providing construction oversight for projects in coordination with Project Engineers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Contracting Officers. You will be responsible for monitoring construction activities, reporting progress and issues, and ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and objectives. Projects support Air Traffic Control facilities across the eastern third of the United States and the Caribbean. This position requires 100% travel (including weekends), with assignments typically lasting several weeks to months. Travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company and federal guidelines. The ideal candidate will live in the eastern part of the US. The Travel Construction Manager will provide on-site construction monitoring, coordination, and quality assurance services to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. Scope of Services Serve as the primary field point of contact, coordinating with construction contractors, project engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve field issues Ensure contractor compliance with FAA Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) policies, applicable regulations, and contract requirements while providing field construction monitoring & quality assurance Monitor construction progress against approved schedules, review contractor reports, and communicate status, risks, and deviations from plans and specifications Review request for information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, & work plans to provide input to engineering teams Support construction inspections, commissioning, and closeout activities, including the tracking and coordinating resolution of punch list items Maintain accurate daily reports and as-built documentation and support project management activities (e.g., safety plans, sequencing, risk, & quality) using strong communication (verbal and written) skills Assist with basic design modifications, constructability reviews, and field-driven adjustments; support coordination with engineering/design stakeholders, and share technical knowledge with team members
