We're currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer 2 - Surface Water. The primary responsibilities for the job are to perform professional engineering, work and/or administration focusing on the review, design, planning, investigation, and construction of surface water system projects. May provide project support for street, water utility, sewer utility, and other public works areas as needed. Review private developer projects and consultant designed capital improvement projects. Prepare and review plans and specifications and act as a project manager on assigned projects. May lead an engineering technician on assigned projects. This is a full-time, regular, exempt position. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8am to 5pm. Open until filled. First review - December 10, 2025. At this time, this position is eligible for telework up to 2 days per week for a hybrid schedule. As with all routine telework positions, employees may be required to come into the office on occasion based on business needs. Telework may be subject to change at a future time. Currently, all employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the City cannot support ongoing telework from other locations.
