About The Position

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is seeking to hire Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineers to provide onsite support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) Facilities Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations (FEMO) contract located in Edwards, CA. The objective of the FEMO is to modify, maintain, and operate Center facilities and infrastructure in support of changing mission requirements while minimizing adverse impact to research operations and employees, and while complying with Federal, State, local, and NASA regulations and requirements. The qualified candidate will have expertise with ARC GIS and Maximo CMMS systems as well as a background in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering as they relate to facilities construction and maintenance. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to 100,000. Salaries are commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic locations. Relocation expenses considered.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities related work, OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering (or related science) or architecture.
  • Experience with ArcGIS. Experience with recent version 10.8.2 preferred.
  • Experience with Maximo CMMS Systems. Experience with most recent version of IBM Maximo Application Suite 8.11 is preferred.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revue.
  • Proficient in Unified Facilities Guide Specifications and OSHA Standards.
  • OSHA 10- & 30-Hour Certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Design specifications on SpecsIntact specific to each construction project.
  • Assist with the creation of statements of work (SOW), performance work statements (PWS), and Preliminary Engineering Reports (PER) for construction projects on NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC).
  • Assist project managers by providing Quality Assurance of on-site construction activities and providing timely quality assurance on drawings and specifications.
  • Utilize ArcGIS to create new maps of AFRC to allow for more interactive views to see utilities, space utilization, and construction sites for NASA AFRC facilities.
  • Implement design review process utilizing Bluebeam to improve efficiency and communication of construction projects to the project stakeholders for NASA AFRC facilities department.
