You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities. We are currently recruiting for several Civil Engineers at all levels to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Boise office.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree in Civil (Earthworks) Engineering and registered as a licensed engineer in the USA.
  • Civil (Earthworks) design engineering experience.
  • Ability to resolve most technical issues in an efficient manner utilizing personal knowledge, external consultants and in-house experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and design is an asset.
  • Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Civil (Earthworks) engineering design according to required timeframes and standards and provide high level technical expertise.
  • Facilitate the purchase of appropriate equipment, contract packages and bulks by specifying requirements and assisting Procurement with the purchase of equipment.
  • Contribute to the cost-efficient delivery of Civil (Earthworks) engineering by managing the man hour budget and reviewing and approving Civil (Earthworks) capital cost estimates, recommending alternative approaches where possible.
  • Evaluate tenders from a technical standpoint by using multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience.
  • Issue drawings and other relevant information for construction by working with Engineers and Designers.
