The successful candidate will function as part of a design team for small to large capital projects in the energy sector. They should possess a solid understanding of AutoCAD Map3D & Civil3D and working in geospatial datasets.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD drafting and the latest AutoCAD Map3D and Civil3D software.
  • Understanding of drafting in real-world coordinate systems.
  • Demonstrated skills in AutoCAD and other job-related activities at the time of the interview such as labelling, plotting, block manipulation, page-setup, and working with external references.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Point, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Creating civil and linear drawing using a combination of survey data, COGO points, contours, design linework, and GIS datasets.
  • Producing various drawings specific to projects, including alignment sheets, site-specific layouts, crossings, profiles, and engineering typicals.
  • Working with GIS datasets such as shapefiles, public data, environmental data, contours, imagery, etc.
  • Labelling and dimensioning using AutoCAD standard annotation objects such as MText, MLeaders, dimensions, and attributed blocks.
  • Developing technical drawings (determining appropriate scales, arrangement, and specific details of the drawings) from the concepts required by the engineering team.
  • Sheet setup and working with external references.
  • Respecting and enforcing internal and client policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings.
  • Following discipline-specific and company drafting standards.
  • Review and QA/QC deliverables in PDF software.
  • Working collaboratively in cloud software.
  • Performing other related duties that may contribute to the project's completion.
