About The Position

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Civil Designer in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world.

And, as part of our Floodplain & Stormwater Management team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America

Requirements

• Must be a degreed Civil Engineer from an accredited university.
• 0-1 years of related experience in Water Resources is required.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and/or MicroStation experience is preferred.
• Experience with modeling/ design tools such as HEC-RAS, TR-20, and XPSWMM are preferred.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Water resources and storm water analysis modeling & design.
• Preparing floodplain/floodway calculations and design.
• Grading, site infrastructure and erosion control design.
• Participating in watershed, environmental, and wetland projects for private and public sector clients.
• Preparing reports, design plan sets, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Monitoring projects to ensure needed regulatory compliance, including the possibility of construction site inspections for compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations.
• Assisting in water resources permitting.
