We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Designer I for our office located in Baton Rouge, La Job Summary: Performs routine design assignments, which require knowledge and skill in basic drafting techniques, procedures, and knowledge of certain industry standards under close supervision. Assignments are designed to further develop the incumbent’s job knowledge and abilities.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Vocational School in Drafting, or graduate of a 2-year Drafting program for an accredited University.
• ACAD Skill, including 3D ACAD.
• Autocad.
• MS Word.
• MS Excel.
• Organized.
• Good communication skills.
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops under close supervision, CADD drawings from design sketches or catalog information.
• Prepares simple engineering and constructions drawing from scratch, sketches or verbal instruction, utilizing manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques.
• Able to make site visits to the plants and prepare legible sketches.
• Uses time efficiently.
• Keeps Supervisor apprised of progress.
• Produces quality work in a safe manner.
