Civil Design Engineer
About The Position
Elevation Land Solutions is hiring a Design Engineer ready to take the next step in their land development engineering career. This role is ideal for someone who has established foundational experience and is prepared to take on projects with increasing autonomy. You’ll contribute to residential and commercial site design, collaborate with teams across disciplines, and further your technical mastery in a supportive environment. As a Design Engineer, you will: Produce land development designs with minimal supervision Lead and support project design tasks such as utility layouts, grading plans, and drainage calculations Apply strong Civil 3D and AutoCAD skills to deliver accurate plan sets Perform quantity takeoffs, preliminary designs, and QA/QC checks Work within ELS design processes and milestones Coordinate technical aspects of design with internal teams and subconsultants Interpret and incorporate engineering reports into your design solutions Support junior designers and contribute to peer reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-Accredited EAC Program
- EIT Certification (FE Exam passed)
- Valid driver’s license
- 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience (internships may count)
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D
- Clear understanding of infrastructure components (utilities, paving, drainage, detention, etc.)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to independently complete design tasks
- Familiarity with design scheduling and effort estimation
- Desire to grow technically and professionally within a fast-paced team
