About The Position

The Civil Crew plays a critical role in supporting TCE’s telecom construction projects, including new tower builds, modifications, and site development. This hands-on team is responsible for ground preparation, concrete work, trenching, conduit installation, grounding, and general site cleanup. Civil Crew Members work closely with Tower, Electrical, and RF teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to TCE’s quality standards.
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years of general construction or civil telecom work preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Certifications: OSHA 10 (required or ability to obtain); First Aid/CPR and CDL a plus
- Skills: Basic understanding of concrete work, grading, underground utilities, trenching, and boring
- Ability to read site plans and follow construction drawings
- Ability to safely operate light and heavy equipment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments for extended periods
Nice To Haves
- Experience with concrete foundations is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and construction of tower foundations, shelters, and site compounds
- Operate hand and power tools, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, and other construction equipment
- Perform concrete forming, pouring, and finishing
- Install conduits, grounding systems, rebar cages, and fencing as directed
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following TCE’s safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete daily tasks efficiently
- Travel to job sites across Texas and neighboring states as required (overnight stays may be necessary)
- Report equipment issues, hazards, or site concerns promptly to the Civil Foreman
