About The Position

The Civil Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for pavement preservation work, including coordinating crews, equipment, and materials while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent or foreman in civil or roadway construction
• Strong understanding of pavement preservation methods and sequencing
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience managing multiple crews and working under tight schedules
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed

Nice To Haves

• Experience on DOT or municipal pavement preservation projects
• OSHA training or equivalent safety certifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for pavement preservation activities such as crack sealing, slurry seal, microsurfacing, surface treatments, and related roadway work
• Supervise field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently
• Coordinate schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries
• Ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and quality requirements
• Maintain daily reports, production tracking, and field documentation
• Coordinate with project management and quality control staff
• Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on all job sites
• Communicate with owners, inspectors, and agency representatives as required
