About The Position

The Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and coordinating construction site activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This position requires managing teams of skilled laborers and subcontractors, directing daily operations related to concrete work, excavation, and heavy machinery use. The Foreman is responsible for interpreting project plans and specifications to guide work execution and maintain quality standards. Additionally, the role involves proactive identification and mitigation of safety risks, ensuring compliance with all construction safety regulations. Ultimately, the Foreman serves as the key on-site liaison between project management and field personnel, driving efficient project delivery and fostering a productive work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Proven expertise in concrete work, excavation, and operation of heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or certification in construction management or related field.
• Experience with project estimation and budgeting.
• Certification in OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Training.
• Familiarity with construction management software and digital reporting tools.
• Leadership training or supervisory skills development courses.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities including concrete pouring, excavation, and operation of heavy machinery.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Estimate project requirements and resource allocation to optimize productivity and control costs.
• Lead, train, and motivate construction crews to maintain high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and maintain workflow continuity.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential hazards, and enforce safety measures.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and labor hours for reporting purposes.
