About The Position

DBA Construction is seeking Carpenters for at multiple projects located near Phoenix, AZ. This role involves constructing and maintaining safety handrails and hole protection, steps and gang ladders, temporary weather enclosures and protection. Carpenters will perform tasks such as sawing, stripping, nailing, burning, measuring, tightening/loosening bolts, drilling, and other duties as assigned by a supervisor. The position also requires concrete carpentry knowledge and skill to execute concrete forming and form systems installation, as well as placement of concrete for various concrete structures including foundation concrete footings and grade beams, column and wall formwork (all types: Gang forms, Stick Build, Slip Forms, etc.), setting anchor bolts templates, rebar templates, erecting temporary handrails and walk planks, and associated safety related items.

Requirements

• 3 years of construction experience
• Must be able to read basic drawings
• Have training on construction safety protocols (i.e. OSHA 10, fall protection, mobile elevated platform (boom and scissor))
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks, maintain professionalism, and use critical thinking to solve issues
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects
• Climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights
• Be able to read/write
• Can see & hear well either naturally or with correction
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs, 75% of the time
• Must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment
• Work outside
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration Document
• Attention to detail and follow directions
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required
• Must have own transportation to various work sites within the state of Arizona
• Must have own finishing tools
• Steel boots are required
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures
• Must have own nail bags and tools for forming and finishing
