About The Position

Mammoth Sports Construction is seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our team. The position is based at our headquarters in Meriden, Kansas, with additional locations in Kansas City, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed civil construction drawings, site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts specifically for sports-related projects. This role involves drafting plan sets, construction documents, and technical exhibits under the guidance of Civil Designers and Project Managers. The Drafting Technician will also update and revise drawings based on redlines, design changes, and client/agency feedback, while organizing and maintaining project files and drawing records throughout the design and construction process. Coordination with other team members, including designers, engineers, architects, and field personnel, is essential. Additionally, the technician will assist in performing quantity take-offs and supporting design calculations as needed, ensuring that all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, Civil Design Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of drafting experience in civil/site development, preferably with experience in sports, recreation, or commercial projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utility, and site layout drafting.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, permitting processes, and construction documentation standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience drafting for sports facilities, stadiums, or athletic complexes is a plus.
