Together. Every day. CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Civil Aviation Engineer to join our Infrastructure – Aviation Team at our Columbus, OH office. What You'll Do: Every airport, regardless of its size, depends on a unique set of facilities and infrastructure to meet the specific needs of their community, stakeholders and partners. The CHA team excels in delivering specialized airside, landside, and facility-related planning and design. We bring a wealth of experience to our aviation clients so they can continue to be viable assets to the communities they serve. Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Civil Aviation Engineer supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The professional in this role aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. At CHA, our Civil Aviation Engineer works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements. The Civil Aviation Engineer identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. This individual develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of related engineering experience required
  • Strong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
  • Familiar with QA/QC procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required

Nice To Haves

  • Civil aviation experience preferred
  • Construction administration services experience preferred
