About The Position

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Civil) to support the execution of large-scale site development projects across Southwest Florida. This role will focus on horizontal construction , including grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and roadway infrastructure for commercial developments such as warehouse, retail, and mixed-use projects. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, early-career construction professional looking to grow into a Project Manager role while gaining exposure to large, complex developments.

Requirements

3–8 years of experience in civil construction, site development, or land development
Background with a civil contractor, sitework contractor, or developer-builder
Exposure to: Grading / earthwork Utilities (water, sewer, storm) Site infrastructure

Nice To Haves

Experience on commercial, warehouse, retail, or large residential site development projects
Field experience (Project Engineer, Assistant PM, or Superintendent track)
Familiarity with Florida construction practices

Responsibilities

Assist in managing civil/site development projects from active construction through completion
Support oversight of grading, utilities, stormwater, and roadway work
Track project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance
Spend time onsite supporting day-to-day construction activities
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and inspectors
Monitor progress and help resolve field issues
Assist with: Budget tracking Cost forecasting Pay applications Change orders
Maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, reports)
Work with internal development teams, engineers, and consultants
Support communication with municipalities and regulatory agencies
