Nazareth Prep intentionally prepares students for success in college, career, and life in a caring community that inspires the development of a vibrant and intimate loving relationship with Jesus Christ through hard work, spiritual formation, and academic excellence. Nazareth Prep High School is seeking a dynamic and culturally responsive Civics and Psychology Teacher to lead high school-level courses that explore historical, psychological, sociological, and cultural perspectives impacting individuals and communities. These courses are intentionally designed to support students’ development of a God centered worldview, academic growth and personal development while equipping them with the critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills necessary for success in college, careers, and life. The Civics and Psychology curriculum at Nazareth Prep plays a vital role in preparing students to navigate the social, cultural, and institutional dynamics they will face in higher education and the workplace. Students will examine key theoretical models, the process of identity development, and the importance of cultural resilience in shaping family relationships. Special focus will be given to understanding how systemic factors impact family well-being. The curriculum combines critical analysis of scholarly literature, real-world case studies, and empirical research. Major topics include family structures and functions, intergenerational connections, psychological resilience, mental health, socioeconomic impact, and the supportive roles of faith and community in fostering family life.
