About The Position

The City Desk Representative at Border States plays a crucial role in supporting the operational functions of the city desk. This position involves customer service tasks such as order entry, filling orders, and processing returns, while also maintaining a clean and organized display area. Requirements

  • Minimum of a two-year business/trade degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of one year of prior warehouse, city desk, and/or sales experience with knowledge of electrical products or systems preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), Internet, Email, and SAP software is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills, including being competent, accurate, responsive, and engaged.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service functions including order entry, filling orders, processing returns, and technical assistance.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and well-stocked City Desk display area.
  • Displays specials and promotional items to enhance sales.
  • Maintains vendor catalogs and price sheets.
  • Informs proper departments of stock outs and inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintains assigned inventory stock locations, ensuring correct labeling and organization.
  • Abides by all safety requirements, including wearing required PPE gear.
  • Participates in marketing planning and strategizing for BSE product lines as needed.
  • Attends sales meetings and keeps current on new products and applications.
