About The Position

As a City Creek Security - Days in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and service. You will document activity using basic technology and respond to concerns with professionalism. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, and innovative environment.

Requirements

CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be able to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or property concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating guest issues and coordinating with mall management and/or local responders as needed.
Monitor access points and mall activity, observe for policy violations, and complete written and/or electronic reports and incident documentation.
Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during peak shopping periods and special events by providing high-visibility presence and directing guests to appropriate resources.
