About The Position

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, dedicating their time to understanding customers and fostering long-term relationships through trusted financial advice. This role involves leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a broad financial knowledge, to provide recommendations and assist customers with solutions for their spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs. Bankers will identify customers' personal financial goals and offer tailored solutions for objectives such as future planning, home buying, or opening new credit cards. They are also responsible for introducing customers to digital and mobile banking options, including the company's app and ATMs. Collaboration with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking is key for addressing more complex financial requirements. Additionally, Citizens Bankers will engage in outbound calls to attract new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments, recognizing that financial needs evolve over time. Adherence to all financial policies and procedures, including proper cash handling and compliance with state and local laws and regulations, is mandatory.

Requirements

  • High School degree or GED required
  • 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals
  • Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship
  • Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions
  • Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
  • Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues
  • Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
  • Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
  • Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS
  • Qualified candidates must complete a video interview assessment after applying as the next step, to be completed within 7 days of receiving the link
