About The Position

Citizens Bankers are the face of the branch, dedicating their time to understanding customers and building lasting relationships through trusted advice. This role is ideal for outgoing individuals who enjoy helping others and providing sound financial guidance. Utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a broad range of financial knowledge, the banker will offer recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions across spending, saving, borrowing, and investing needs. Key aspects include understanding personal financial goals to recommend tailored solutions, introducing digital and mobile-first banking options, and collaborating with partners in Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking for more complex financial requirements. Bankers are also responsible for making outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkup appointments, while strictly adhering to all financial policies, procedures, proper cash handling, and relevant state and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

High School degree or GED required
2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals
Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship
Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions
Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues
Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration
Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively
Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings
Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS
