About The Position
The Lending Advisor is a key member of the CPB team of specialists, acting as a proactive and responsive product advocate for credit. This role involves establishing a reputation of execution and excellence, gaining the confidence of CPB Banker teams to fully develop lending opportunities with their clients. The Lending Advisor serves as the internal sales leader for Structured Lending and Margin credit offerings, liaising with various teams to ensure credit is a core part of the CPB offering. Additionally, the advisor partners with Private Banker teams to profile their client and prospect base, identify and analyze business opportunities, and conduct regular book reviews to uncover needs and deliver sophisticated solutions to client and prospect financings or restructurings. The role also includes delivering credit strategy for the region, maximizing revenue generation while ensuring responsible lending growth, and acting as the subject matter expert for internal and client inquiries on Private Banking lending products. Regular informational and educational sessions on credit topics are scheduled to increase awareness and improve the knowledge base of CPB Banker teams. The advisor is responsible for marketing and selling the full IF Product range, building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities to meet Private Banking metrics and targets, and leveraging other CPB product specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise for complex clients.
