About The Position
As a Network Engineer Sr Advisor at GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity. This position is centered around enterprise IT, where you will connect and enhance the systems that matter most to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the design and integrity of complex internal networks, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. You will provide expert technical assistance to team members on high-level system and networking requests, ensuring that network infrastructures are secure and managed effectively to protect productivity, mitigate threats, and reduce costs. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of complex infrastructure tailored to meet customer needs. You will lead the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks. Your expertise will be essential in architecting and designing IP networks and associated technologies, ensuring that the network strategy aligns with technology domain standards and design goals. You will also provide technical design and architectural leadership, documenting and diagramming the logical, physical, and process views of the network architecture. Your work will involve analyzing network traffic using various tools to assess security-related events, assisting in the rapid identification and isolation of issues during incidents and outages. You will collaborate effectively with other IT disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems, ensuring that the network operates smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a proactive approach to researching and implementing new technologies that enhance the existing network, making you a key player in the ongoing innovation at GDIT.
