About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Network Engineer II who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As a Network Engineer II you will: Supports designing and implementing networks, installing managing common network devices, and troubleshooting common problems. Works closely with network vendors to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. Primarily performs as 2nd tier operational support in Service Operation processes for all network related systems. Supported by the team includes Cisco hardware and software including but not limited to Catalyst Switches, ASR routers, ASA firewalls, Wireless LAN Controllers, VPN Concentrators, AnyConnect, Cisco ISE, OpenDNS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience implementing and supporting Cisco networks in an enterprise environment
  • 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry or mission critical industry is preferred
  • Network + or similar certification required
  • A+ or similar certification required
  • At least one of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar networking certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or information technology is preferred
  • 1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industry or mission critical industry is preferred
