About The Position

This Cisco Engineer role will focus on supporting a complex Cisco Network environment and collaborating with the various IT Operations Teams. Associates get satisfaction from knowing they provide agents, marketers and carrier partners the support needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
• CCIE certification required.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with VoIP and wireless networking technologies.

Responsibilities

• Upgrading and improving Cisco Network.
• Creating network strategies.
• Maintain documentation and diagrams.
• Helping to lead various network infrastructure projects.
• Design, implement, and manage complex Cisco network solutions for enterprise environments.
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, security and other network and system problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
• Maintain and upgrade Splunk and network monitoring environments as needed.
• Perform wireless access point design and configuration.
• Perform configuration and maintenance of Cisco Umbrella.
