About The Position

The Circulation Assistant at The Free Press Media is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of newspapers to subscribers and providing excellent customer service. This role involves training delivery contractors, conducting audits, and assisting in sales promotions, all while adapting to a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• Work experience in Circulation, Distribution or Retail areas is helpful, but willing to train
• Experience delivering newspapers is valuable, but willing to train
• Forward thinking, anticipates opportunities and situations and looks for ways to improve the team and its outputs
• Ability to work independently
• Must be outgoing, team-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with others
• A good motor vehicle report, valid driver's license, dependable automobile, and liability insurance are required
• Flexibility and time management skills are essential to manage multiple and competing priorities and schedules that can change quickly
• Ability to lift 25-50lbs

Responsibilities

• Train delivery contractors on route delivery
• Deliver newspapers to subscribers as necessary to fill in for open/down routes or redeliver missed newspapers
• Ensure customer/subscriber service and satisfaction goals are met
• Conduct home delivery and retail sales audits
• Assist in sales promotions
• Perform other duties as assigned by management within reason

Benefits

• Hourly rate starting between $15.00 - $17.00/hr
• Additional compensation for mileage
