About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Circulating Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team at our state-of-the-art Surgical Clinic in Overland Park, Kansas. As a Circulating Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical suites, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Circulating Nurse at our Surgical Clinic, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care. Your role is vital in ensuring patient safety, maintaining sterile conditions, and assisting in the smooth execution of surgical cases in Cosmetic, Ortho, ENT, General and many more. You will be the crucial point of communication within the operating room, facilitating teamwork and delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care. Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are set up for the surgical procedure.
  • Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of time.
  • Monitor the patient's condition throughout the surgical procedure, assisting anesthesiologists and surgeons as needed.
  • Maintain sterile and safe environments within the operating room, adhering to all protocols and safety standards.
  • Accurately document surgical procedures, patient responses, and any pertinent information in medical records.
  • Function as a liaison between the surgical team and other medical personnel to ensure clear communication and patient care continuity.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
