About The Position

The Circuit Design Intern position at GlobalFoundries is designed for Master's or PhD students pursuing a career in the semiconductor industry. Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
• Fluency in English (Written & Verbal)
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
• Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Place and route for complex cores using IP for stdcell libraries and memory libraries in multiple GF technologies
• RTL simulation and verification for power benchmarking
• Circuit design based optimization for improving stdcell logic through IP enhancement
• TCl /PERL scripting for physical design and RTL simulation tools
• Optimizing stdcell and memory IP through block level design for Edge AI and automotive application
• Scripting and use of CAD tools for VLSI design
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
