About The Position

You will be the Circuit Card Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control programs. Our team is responsible for designing, evaluating, and qualifying circuit cards and test hardware that enable mission critical systems to operate reliably in harsh environments, including radiation rich space platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of eight years of professional experience.
  • Experience with circuit card design, integration, and test for digital electronics.
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition Enterprise or equivalent for schematic capture.
  • Experience with Cadence Pspice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Ability to work on site 3 days a week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MFC circuit card design processes.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and prototyping analog and signal conditioning circuits, including LVDS video links and close proximity electronics.
  • Developing and fabricating evaluation boards and test interface hardware for system level integration and testing.
  • Performing schematic capture, layout, and simulation using analog design tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
  • Debugging hardware issues in the lab, diagnosing failures, and implementing corrective changes after test events.
  • Supporting IT&E teams to move units through qualification, including Radiation Qualification and other environmental studies required by LM Space or the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
  • Generating and maintaining detailed design documentation, test plans, and verification reports in compliance with program standards.
  • Conducting simulations and analyses (thermal, signal integrity, radiation effects) to predict performance and mitigate risks.
  • Traveling to fabrication sites (e.g., Ocala) for board build oversight, post process inspections, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with mechanical, firmware, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of hardware.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, such as design for manufacturability and cost reduction studies.
