Consumers purchase goods manufactured on Urschel cutting equipment on a daily basis. Advanced manufacturing technologies are utilized at our climate controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility. A day in the life of a Circle Knife Operator includes making repetitive cuts to acquire accurate dimensions on a variety of circular knives, operating multiple machines simultaneously. Uses circle knife lathes, serrators, and straighteners to accomplish jobs. Uses all necessary types of precision measuring and gaging equipment.

Requirements

minimum of one-year work experience in a related environment
high school diploma or equivalent
ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
ability to solve math problems
ability to read and interpret engineering prints and blueprints
Physical demands include frequent durations of both sitting and standing, repetitive wrist movements, forearm rotation, gripping, grasping, and squeezing.
