Supervise, plan and coordinate assigned activities and operations within the Capital Implementation Program including capital planning, budgeting, scheduling and development of policy recommendations; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public and provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to assigned supervisory or management staff.   • Supervise, plan and coordinate assigned activities and operations within the Capital Implementation Program.
  • Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public.
  • Provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to assigned supervisory or management staff.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, engineering, architecture or landscape architecture, planning, and/or public administration.
  • Six (6) years of managerial capital improvement project or planning experience.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
  • Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
  • Operational characteristics, services and activities of capital implementation program and/or project management.
  • Principles and practices of program and/or project development, administration and implementation.
  • Principles and practices of negotiating and managing architectural and engineering contracts.
  • Principles of capital program planning.
  • Principles of municipal budget preparation and control.
  • Principles of supervision, training and performance evaluation.
  • Principles of business letter writing and basic report preparation.
  • Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.
