About The Position

Main Purpose of the job: The role of a CIP Operator is the effective and consistent service of factory equipment. To consistently achieve production and cost targets on a short term (day to day) and long term (monthly/annual) basis, through effective management and upkeep of the processes, kit and systems, so as to ensure that we achieve our production targets, through the manufacture of products to the right quality and specification. Covering all aspects of food safety. This will be achieved by ensuring that equipment is available for production, reactive maintenance is dealt with at speed, and accuracy. Developing a clear knowledge and understanding of the factory, products, and machinery.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Aptitude for automated mechanical processes with good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, math and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts and/or schedules.
  • High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • One-year related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assure mix tanks and discharge lines are ready and in sanitary condition according to the mix room schedule
  • Assist in foreign object investigations
  • Assure draw lines and production centers are ready and in sanitary condition according to production schedule
  • Water flush mix tanks after emptied prior to CIP cycle
  • Confirm chemical concentration and successful CIP on every circuit that has been through a CIP cycle.
  • Maintain CIP circuit gaskets, and air relief valves
  • Maintain mix tank agitator seals and replace per PM or as needed
  • Inspect and initial all package side of plant mix tanks and line circuit charts
  • Maintain inspect chemical tank levels
  • Bring in chemical drums from outside chemical storage area as needed
  • Passivate CIP circuits as needed
  • Inspect CIP screens and magnets daily
  • Maintain all check valve balls for all CIP circuits
  • Assure conductivity, temperature, and flow rate on all CIP units are in compliance.
  • Perform environmental cleaning as described in master sanitation plan
  • Maintain CIP rooms in inspection ready condition at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
