About The Position
The Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) Architect will be an integral part of the IAM Architecture and Engineering function within Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). This role is pivotal in architecting CIAM solutions that effectively manage the digital identity and access of customers within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in architecting CIAM projects utilizing platforms such as ForgeRock, Ping, Okta, Auth0, and Azure B2C. The CIAM Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall CIAM architecture strategy, ensuring that it aligns with business objectives, security requirements, and industry best practices. This includes designing scalable, highly available, and secure CIAM solutions that encompass authentication, authorization, identity verification, identity lifecycle management, and access governance. The Architect will also research and evaluate various CIAM platforms, tools, and technologies to meet the organization's evolving needs. In addition to technical responsibilities, the CIAM Architect will monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to keep the CIAM architecture current and compliant. They will lead initiatives aimed at continuously improving the performance, scalability, and security of CIAM solutions. Furthermore, the Architect will provide guidance and mentorship to team members on CIAM best practices and emerging technologies, ensuring that all work is well-documented. They will also assist development teams in embedding CIAM services into customer applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Lastly, the Architect will champion the developed IAM solutions, ensuring compliance with all applicable SMBC policies and relevant data protection regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
